Creating and Maintaining a Profile
A profile is your identity within the iSpQ community and a great way to express yourself. It includes your photo and biographical information and allows others to learn more about you (and even contact you). It is conveniently linked to your account so that it’s visible regardless of what computer you login with - even from the other side of the world!

Profiles are an optional feature, and some users may choose not to allow their profile to be listed in the directory; however we highly encourage you to snap a photo of your smile for everyone to see! Browsing the profiles of other community members is also a fun and exciting way to find someone with similar interests.

Guidelines For Your Profile
We review all profiles to ensure that they meet our Profile Approval Guidelines. Please don't be offended if your profile was not approved**. We have conservative standards for profiles to benefit the online safety of all members. The best – and recommended – profile photo is one filled by your smiling face. Photos of an object, such as a stuffed animal or pet, are also acceptable.

If you don't want a profile, you may disable it or submit a 'blank' photo (by dimming the lights, covering the camera lens, etc). To learn about disabling your profile, see the “Editing Your Profile” section below.
**Approval of all profiles is at the discretion of nanoCom Corporation. Profiles may be removed by nanoCom after approval.

Creating Your Profile
  1. During Step 3 of the Create Account process, biographical information for your profile is collected. All fields are optional and may be changed at a later time.

    1. Select your marital Status, Age, Gender, Ethnicity, and your Internet Connection from the dropdown menus.
    2. Enter a link to your personal or favorite website by pasting the address into the Hyperlink box.
    3. If you would like to add anything else about yourself, type it in the Profile Comment box. This box can hold a full page of text and is your opportunity to tell people about your interests, hobbies, a personal story, or anything else. Have fun with this part, but remember to keep it clean!
    4. Your profile will automatically be displayed in the community. To disable your profile, clear the checkbox in front of Allow others to view my profile.
  2. Your profile photo is taken next in the Create Account process. This photo can be seen by anyone in the community and must abide by the rules specified in the “Guidelines For Your Profile” section above. If your webcam is on and is focused correctly, you should see a photo of yourself.

  3. Click the Instant or Delayed button to retake your photo if necessary. Remember, you can change your profile in the future.
  4. When you are satisfied with your photo, click the Next button. Your account and profile will now be created.
  5. Click the Finish button to login and begin using iSpQ VideoChat.

Viewing Profiles
There are many ways to view profile information in iSpQ VideoChat. A preview area in the top-right corner of the Community Explorer shows data for the selected user. Anywhere you see a user photo, click on it to view their full profile in a seperate window. The community has two views: List and Detail. By clicking Detail, you get to view up to five users at a time, complete with profile information and photo.
