This is the first in a series of brief articles that seek to inform our users about increasing their privacy and security in the iSpQ community. This month's topic involves the "Invisible" mode. It is one of four modes in iSpQ (the others are "Online", "Away", "Do Not Disturb").
The most noticeable impact is that you appear as offline on the Pal List of other users. You also gain a bit of privacy on spots in the Community tab as well: you are hidden in the directory listing (the table with 'Name', 'Location', and 'Comment') of the room you are currently in. However, if you join that room's Text Chat (by pressing the 'Join Chat' button), you will NOT be hidden in the list of 'Public Chat' users: the invisible icon will appear next to your name, indicating to others that you are hiding. One other fact about being invisible is that you cannot receive video chat invitations.
iSpQ remembers your mode between sessions, so if you were invisible before logging off, that invisibility would be preserved upon your next login.
The critics all agree: iSpQ is an elite video chat application! Including a series of new top ratings from the past few weeks, there are now THIRTY software vendors who have given iSpQ a 5-star rating (out of a possible 5 stars). Six 4-star ratings and an Editor's Choice Award also punctuate the list of accolades received by iSpQ 7.5 since its release in November.
